Hornsea Mugs
About the Company/Brand:
Hornsea produced pottery in Yorkshire starting in the late 1940s. Two brothers, Colin and Desmond Rawson, produced pottery and tableware up until the year 2000 or so. One of the most popular styles of tableware were the John Clappison designs. The Hornsea Pottery was also a popular destination for locals and tourists with various attractions. (It still continues to maintain a presence through the factory outlet Hornsea Freeport today.)
As far as mugs go, the bold designs (usually two colors) on the John Clappison animal themed mugs are becoming very popular. These are usually the mugs we see that people collect from Hornsea.
