Stetson China Co. (also known as Stetson Pottery) was founded by a Polish immigrant Louis Stetson in Lincoln, Illinois in 1946. Their china used decals, with the exception of a few years of hand painted designs. Pottery and china made by Stetson is often attributed as "Mar-Crest" for the following reason: a large majority of Stetson's output was sold to the Chicago distribtor Marshall Burns (part of Technicolor) who turned around and sold it as "Marcrest" to stores and to movie theatres and gas stations for promotional use.

Stetson is also known for developing Melmac dinnerware in the 1960s. The company went out of business in 1965.
