Yet another stacking mug from Japan - this shape is so fun to collect because they are not extremely common, but still attainable. And there’s no real collector pressure on them (yet) so you can sometimes find them for 10 to 50 cents.
This one has a plain design, an alternating green and yellow stripe and that’s pretty much it!
It has a bit different stamp, in red, as seen below.

I love Japanese stacking mugs but haven’t seen them too often in Chicago-area thrifts…the few I have were found in my hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Perhaps they were more popular in certain regions?

I think you may be correct about that - the thing is that I expected them to be so common since we’re on the West Coast but until recently I haven’t come across as many as I thought.
