I came across this mug from a maker I hadn’t heard of before the other day. I tried looking up the information online but there wasn’t too much, and Ebay wasn’t much help either. So for now, I’m going to toss it in the “Unknown” category. The design consists mostly of a red gingham or tablecloth print pattern which has a little space with a single letter “H” in blue.

The bottom is marked with “Heat Proof” and the word “Westfield” in a large W. The shape of the mug sort of reminded me of Federal mugs (also marked heat proof and with an F in a shield) but I couldn’t find any reference to that. I did find some similar ones on Ebay: it seems that the red gingham plus blue lettering also exists with different letters, as well as whole words like “Grandma” and names like “Jack”. Also interesting was a “Batman” mug that apparently says Westfield on the bottom as well - that one is actually dated to 1966, so at least I know that it’s possible some of these go back that far - I though maybe this was a much newer mug.
